te tiriti o waitangi.

Hello people and welcome back to my blog
Today in class I have been learning about te tiriti o waitangi.
In this class we have to watch a clip of history show and then take notes about it and then we blog about.

1.  The  Maori population in the late 1830s  was 1000 - 7500.

2.  The two reasons that the population droped is because of war disease, fighting

3.  The treaty was neglect because people thought that they would have no control

4.  About 500 - 700 people signed the treaty

5.  Sovereign means crown  control

6.  The British saw France as a treat because they wanted to take over then land.

7.   The Maori  used flat wall under ground bunker logs to slow down

8.  The treaty was wrong because it was done in a night and because it has not got the same words

9. The British send hobson to new Zealand to set up the treaty of waitangi is to make everything fair to try and stop the wars

10. Rangatira from from around the country signed the treaty was 500 chiefs

  1. You've recalled lots of good information about Te Tiriti o Waitangi Luca. I can see that you have learnt a lot, but some of your sentences are not quite right. The Maori population in the late 1830s went from 100,000 Maori down to 70,000 to 80,000 Maori. The treaty was neglected because it was stored under a building and it got wet and was eaten by rats. 500 chiefs signed the treaty as you said in number 10 but not in number 4. Keep working hard Luca.
